Thank you for visiting my web site! Feel free to add comments and questions, concerning my work or just portraits in general. Here I will post samples of my work and also tips on how you can take better pictures of your family and friends.
One-year-old Kody and I have something in common: this cake smash was the first one for both of us! He wasn't sure at first what to do, but once he caught on, there was no stopping him!
Since Kody's birthday theme is John Deere (did you already guess?) the family dressed him in overalls and brought in a John Deere pedal tractor. My studio's country barn setting was the perfect background. Though he didn't want to wear the cowboy hat and boots (what one-year-old does?) we got some great pictures! Some of these will be used for his party invitations.
If you have a creative idea for a portrait of yourself or your children, let me know! I love turning imagination into images!
I was recently hired to photograph a bridal portrait at Martyr's Steak House in Taos, NM. The restaurant has a 1920's theme, so the model wore a vintage wedding dress. Martyr's will be showing the pictures at an upcoming bridal show in Taos. Check out their booth and mine February 28 at the Sagebrush Inn from 11 to 4!
Model: Ana Farkash, wife of Martyr Head Chef Gabriel Farkash.
Flower girl: Their daughter, Desiree
Hair and makeup: Aveda Salon Marjorie
Nothing is more beautiful than the mountains in Taos after a snowfall! Unless, of course, it's a beautiful bride standing in front of them! This picture of Angelica Rodriquez was taken at the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge near Taos, New Mexico.
Just before the session, Angelica mentioned that it is every girls dream to wear a Princess dress and spin around! That was even before I told her this idea I had in mind! I love the way it turned out! Though this was taken as a Bridal portrait, the dress is actually the one she wore as the 2013 Taos Fiestas Reina (Queen).
This was just a spontaneous shot. She had brought boots with her and the cowboy hat is one of my props. The barn background is also part of my studio, so I just had her sit on the hay bales and have fun!
Double the image, double the fun! I think the silver shoes and tiera added a nice touch to this portrait.
